Being parents of young children, we have experienced firsthand the frustration with trying to find quality child care. That's why we developed DayCareCrossing.com - to effectively connect parents and providers.

One day, Sarah Dickinson, wife of Harper Design partner Ryan Dickinson, was looking through the newspaper. Sarah commented on how strange it was that there were over 50 Classified Ads from people looking for child care and over 60 ads from providers looking for children. "Someone should connect these people", she commented. And DayCareCrossing.com was born.

As of January 2006, there are over 250,000 Internet searches every month from parents looking for daycare. Yet, there was not a single resource that would effectively connect parents to to the perfect provider for their needs. Most services, whether governmental or private, were simply glorified classified listings that provided little information to help in a daycare decision. So, we built DayCareCrossing.com.
